Jacqueline S. Weaver-Agostoni, DO, MPH, FACOFP

Dr. Weaver-Agostoni is a faculty physician, and is the Director of the Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program. She is also the Director for Pre-Doctoral Education for the UPMC Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program, and is involved as faculty for the Faculty Development Fellowship. Dr. Weaver-Agostoni joined the faculty after having completed a two-year Faculty Development Fellowship with the University of Pittsburgh Department of Family and Community Medicine, UPMC St. Margaret's Hospital. During that time she also earned her masters of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh.

Originally from Indiana, Pennsylvania, she graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1998 and earned her Doctor of Osteopathy from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA in 2002. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital in 2005. Her desire to educate future family physicians led her to a faculty development fellowship where she gained specialized knowledge and skills to better train family medicine residents.

Dr. Weaver-Agostoni is board certified by both the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages, especially children. When she is not seeing patients or teaching residents and medical students, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, dog and chinchilla. Dr. Weaver-Agostoni also enjoys playing the piano, volunteering to help at her daughter’s school and with numerous other activities that her daughter is involved in, and dancing anytime the opportunity arises.
