As a native of western Pennsylvania, Dr. Doperak was happy to join the UPMC Sports Medicine Team. After finishing her undergraduate training at Allegheny College and medical training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, she completed a family medicine residency at Latrobe Hospital. Following residency, she was the UPMC Shadyside Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellow from 2005-2006. Today, Dr. Doperak is a member of the UPMC Center for Sports Medicine faculty and an assistant professor with the University of Pittsburgh Department of Orthopaedics. She is the head team physician at Seton Hill University and St. Vincent College and the asst. team physician at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Doperak serves as the "residency liaison" and helps facilitate resident involvement in the fellowship and coordinates the family medicine resident rotations and curriculum in orthopedics and sports medicine.
