Are you in a special track or focus during your residency?
I plan to do OB Fellowship after residency.

Why did you choose UPMC Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program? Why Pittsburgh?
I chose UPMC Shadyside because it offers what I am looking for a well-established program, academic excellence, challenging yet relaxed learning environment and a strong sense of camaraderie among the healthcare team. It is a solid training program that will give me the opportunity to grow and learn while building on my foundations of skills and experiences. The program also values and respects diversity and I feel it is the best place for me to be trained as a family physician.

I look forward to exploring Pittsburgh. It is a city rich in history. I also like that it has many options for outdoor activities, sporting events and a lot more.

What are your goals while here in the residency program? How will this prepare you to be an excellent physician?
My goal is to acquire skills necessary for me to provide full spectrum family medicine including care for pregnant women. In addition, I would also like to build meaningful connections not only with my patients, but with my peers and mentors as well. The lessons I will learn will make me a competent, compassionate and well-rounded physician.

Do you have any special interests outside of the residency program?
I enjoy running. I also love reading, playing tennis, biking, traveling, learning about other cultures, and spending time with family and friends.
