Interests:
Are you in a special track or focus during your residency?
I am interested in preventative health, OMT and sports medicine.

Why did you choose UPMC Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program? Why Pittsburgh?
I chose UPMC Shadyside because the residents are a fun-loving and supportive group and the faculty makes teaching residents and students a priority. I liked the community hospital feel with all the resources of a large academic center.
Pittsburgh is a great city with lots of fun, quirky neighborhoods, cultural opportunities, and best of all the people are super friendly. I am looking forward to owning my very own terrible towel and cheering for the Steelers.

What are your goals while here in the residency program? How will this prepare you to be an excellent physician?
I plan to take advantage of all the wonderful learning opportunities in order to help me become a well-rounded family physician capable of taking care of a wide variety of patients. The multi-disciplinary team approach and diverse patient population will definitely prepare me for the constantly changing medical landscape.

Do you have any special interests outside of the residency program?
I enjoy knitting, reading all kinds of books, experimenting in the kitchen, and exploring new places.
