Interests:
Are you in a special track or focus during your residency?
I am interested in pursuing geriatrics fellowship in the future.

Why did you choose UPMC Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program? Why Pittsburgh?
I always wanted to have my medical training in a place where a family physician has an established role and responsibility in the community. When I came to the interview at UPMC Shadyside, I felt it was very much in every family physician I talked to. I also felt that UPMC Shadyside has a strong educational program with great academic backbones.

What are your goals while here in the residency program? How will this prepare you to be an excellent physician?
My ultimate goal is to serve my community wherever I end up in. While I am in the residency program, I am hoping to gain a variety of clinical skills needed to be a well-equipped family physician.

Do you have any special interests outside of the residency program?
I am interested in art and traveling. The last place I visited was Silk Road Cities in Uzbekistan and the last art museum I visited was Santiago Museum of Contemporary Arts in Santiago, Chile.
