Interests:
Are you in a special track or focus during your residency?
I am interested in the underserved track and women’s health.

Why did you choose UPMC Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program? Why Pittsburgh?
I am a Pittsburgh native, and having been away for a few years, I was happy to have the opportunity to come back and pursue my residency training here. UPMC has a nationwide reputation for delivering excellent healthcare, and UPMC Shadyside has the benefit of being part of a large academic center, but also fulfilling its distinct niche within the community. Having rotated here during my 4th year, I was impressed not only by the professionalism of the faculty and residents, but also by the welcoming atmosphere.

What are your goals while here in the residency program? How will this prepare you to be an excellent physician?
My goals during residency are to become comfortable managing patients of all ages, and to become a well-rounded family physician. I look forward to working with a diverse array of patients, as well as taking advantage of the wealth of educational opportunities that UPMC Shadyside has to offer. I have no doubt my training during residency will allow me to strengthen my medical knowledge, and prepare me to become a responsible and reliable family physician.

Do you have any special interests outside of the residency program?
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. As for hobbies, I enjoy making and trying new foods, as well as journaling.
