I am currently in the Osteopathic Recognition Track! I am very excited to become more proficient in OMT and apply it in my future practice.
Why did you choose UPMC Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program? Why Pittsburgh?
My interview with UPMC Shadyside exceeded all my expectations. UPMC Shadyside is not only dedicated to providing excellent training, but also to creating an incredibly supportive teaching environment. All the residents and faculty that I met during my interview were unbelievably kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about Family Medicine. Also, I felt that everyone genuinely cared about my specific interests within Family Medicine and wanted to support me in achieving my goals. I am very proud to be a part of this residency program and am looking forward to the next three years!
Living in Pittsburgh has been wonderful so far. It is a vibrant city with plenty of things to do and I can’t wait to explore the food and culture!
What are your goals while here in the residency program? How will this prepare you to be an excellent physician?
My primary goal is to become a well-rounded, competent clinician. I want to be proficient in various areas of Family Medicine so that I can treat a wide variety of patients in any setting. I am confident that UPMC Shadyside’s comprehensive curriculum will allow me to do just that!
Do you have any specials interests outside of the residency?
Outside of residency, I love to spend time playing piano and guitar or singing. I also enjoy going to the beach, golfing, hiking, and trying new restaurants.
