Are you in a special track or focus during your residency?
I am in the Osteopathic Recognition track. I also have specific interests in maternity care and
office-based gynecology. I plan to do additional obstetric training after my Residency.
Why did you choose UPMC Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program? Why
Pittsburgh?
During my 4 th year of medical school, I rotated in a UPMC Family Medicine Office. I met my
now mentor, and I learned about the UPMC Family Medicine Residencies. I am also lucky
enough to have one of my best friends living nearby.
What are your goals while here in the residency program? How will this prepare you to be
an excellent physician?
My career goal is to be a knowledgeable, compassionate, and trusted physician, the kind that you
would recommend to your friend. In addition to medical knowledge and procedural skills, it is
important to me to learn how to balance task efficiency and spending time with our patients so
that they can understand and play an active role in their health.
Do you have any special interests outside of the residency?
I love spending some good old QT with my family and friends, so I often travel to visit them.
Otherwise, you can find me outside soaking up the sun on a beach, on a hike, or camping at the
National Parks.
