Zoe Futules, DO

  • Third Year Resident

Are you in a special track or focus during your residency?

I am training in the Osteopathic Recognition Track.

Why did you choose UPMC Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program?  Why Pittsburgh?

I was initially drawn to UPMC Shadyside for the strong academics and opportunities to pursue my interests, including Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. During my interview, I was impressed by the culture of community and camaraderie. I felt this would be the ideal environment for me to learn and grow. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, and I plan to stay in the area to practice beyond residency.

What are your goals while here in the residency program?  How will this prepare you to be an excellent physician?

My goal is to learn as much as possible in each of my rotations and continue to develop my skills in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment. I believe this will prepare me to best serve my patients by becoming a compassionate and well-rounded physician.

Do you have any specials interests outside of the residency?

I enjoy cooking, trying new restaurants, playing the piano, growing houseplants, and spending time with my family and friends.
