Elizabeth (Liz) Keller, DO

  • Second Year Resident

Are you in a special track or focus during your residency?

I am in the Osteopathic Recognition Track.

Why did you choose UPMC Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program?  Why Pittsburgh?

I chose UPMC Shadyside for residency because I felt that they provided the best opportunities for me to train in the realms of women’s health, osteopathic manipulative medicine, and in underserved care.

What are your goals while here in the residency program?  How will this prepare you to be an excellent physician?

I love Pittsburgh and consider it my home, so coming to UPMC Shadyside for residency is a chance for me to take care of the people and populations I have grown to love over time. I hope to grow as a physician during my time here, especially in my capacity to work with individuals and groups who have a history of being marginalized by and underrepresented in medicine. I am passionate about underserved care and hope to work at an FQHC in the future.

Do you have any specials interests outside of the residency?

Outside of the residency, I am interested in gardening, yoga, politics, and reading. I am passionate about looking to find ways to incorporate my outside hobbies into medicine so I can better relate to my patients.
